Pitkin County Travel Affidavit Requirement & Red Level Restrictions (Single Household Restriction in Place)
Pitkin County Red Level Restrictions:
A new public health order will be effective in Pitkin County starting Sunday, January 17th at 12:01AM. This order will move Pitkin County to Level Red on the CDPHE State Dial and implement level red restrictions.
Some key changes for the county under the state’s updated Level Red requirements include:
- Enforce one household per unit regardless of when reservation was made
- Indoor Dining
- Indoor dining at restaurants is prohibited; use takeout, curbside or delivery options instead. Outdoor dining is permitted with those in your household.
- Last call is at 8 p.m.
- Ski areas
- Improve mask and distancing enforcement
- No indoor dining
- Continue to monitor capacity and implement reservation system if target capacity is exceeded in accordance with the Ski Area Plan
Pitkin County is launching a new Visitor Affidavit program requiring all visitors to sign an affidavit stating they have tested negative within 72 hours of traveling here, that they are symptom-free and that they acknowledge the county’s 5 Commitments of Containment.
Red Level Restriction – Lodging is currently restricted to only allow one household to stay together in accommodations.

COVID-19 Updated Policies for Winter 2020-2021:
COVID-19 CLAUSE: 100% Deposit Rollover or Full Refund if there is a Government Mandated Travel Restriction in place DURING YOUR RESERVED TRAVEL DATES.
- COVERED by COVID CLAUSE:
- This does cover if there is a government mandated travel restriction either in your place of residence or here in Aspen Snowmass.
- This covers if there is a government mandated shut down of lodging operations in Pitkin County, Colorado.
- This does cover the event of the ski resort closing as long as lodging is still allowed to operate (In this scenario we will rollover the deposit to a future booking at The Crestwood).
- This does cover if you have tested positive for Covid-19 within 14 days of your arrival date (official dated proof of positive test result is required).
- NOT COVERED by COVID CLAUSE:
- This does not cover a personal decision not to travel due to coronavirus concerns or quarantine requirements following travel without government travel restrictions.
- Flight cancellations not related to COVID-19 (i.e. weather cancellation or delay).
- COVERED by COVID CLAUSE:
Deposits: No Deposit Due for all Winter 20-21 booking through August 31, 2020
- 50% of Total Lodging Due September 1, 2020
- Final Payment Due 30 Days Prior to Arrival – Winter
- Final Payment Due 60 Days Prior to Arrival – Holiday
Cancellation: Cancellations NOT covered by Covid Clause
- Worry Free Cancellation through August 31, 2020 (No Penalty)
- Cancellation Outside of 30 Days of Arrival = Loss of 10% of Total Stay Inclusive of Tax/Service Charge (Holiday = 60 Days)
- Cancellation Inside 30 Days of Arrival = Loss of 100% Deposit for Nights Booked Inclusive of Tax/Service Charge (Holiday = 60 Days)
- Within 30 Days of Arrival (Holiday = 60 Days), Guests Are Responsible for All Nights Booked

As we open our doors for business, we look forward to providing our guests a safe home-base with access to the wide-open spaces that surround The Crestwood here in Aspen Snowmass. We are committed to your safety and have been diligently evaluating and implementing new operations and policies with the well-being of guests and employees as the top priority.
We have created new operational procedures based on the guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Colorado Department of Public Health and Pitkin County Public Health to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 that are outlined below:
Communication and Implementation of Social Distancing and Improved Hygiene Practices:
- Daily Employee Health Monitoring and Reporting
- Social Distancing Guidance with Signage
- Mandatory Wearing of Masks by employees when in contact with other staff and guests
- Installing Plexiglass Shields at Front Desk
- Soap and Water available at all sinks, especially those in restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens.
- Hand Sanitizer available at entrances to common areas, offices, front desk and employee office spaces.
- Lodge Van Disinfected after every ride. Guests to not sit in front seat.
Updated Cleaning Policies & Procedures:
- Deep Cleans of All Condos Completed Prior to Re-Opening
- Detailed cleaning and sanitizing high touch points and items using FDA approved disinfectants or solutions.
- All linens will be removed and washed on hot cycle (>70F) following guest departures.
- Guests will be given the option to decline housekeeping services limiting employee contact during their stay.
- Cleaning staff will wear masks and gloves while cleaning and will be trained on proper use and disposal.
